Some interesting names as usual.

Sam Barrington (LB) released by the Packers.
Josh Sitton (G) released by the Packers
Nate Irving (ILB) released by Colts
Dee Milner (CB) released by Jets (former 1st round pick in the 2013 draft)
Jace Amaro (TE) released by Jets (former 2nd round pick of the 2014 draft)
Aaron Dobson (WR) released by Patriots
Red Bryant (DT) released by Cardinals (bring him back?)

More names to come as the deadline is at 1PM.

Hmmm, I've always liked Nate Irving, but that's a pretty thin roster that he was just cut from.

The WR/TE a lot on this board wanted, Cajuste, was cut.

Yep Sanchize to back up Dak.

As much as I love Forsett, he isn't needed. Our RB core is already really strong.

Ravens waived G Vlad Ducasse. He was a starter for the Bears last year.

Ronnie Hilman released by Broncos.

Andre Williams who was a 4th round pick by the Giants was released. A bit of a surprise.

I thought Dee Millner was the closest to a sure thing there was in that draft. Didn't even play well enough to finish his rookie deal.

I have a (maybe irrational) love for Mike Bercovici who was cut by the chargers today. Wouldn't mind him on our PSquad.

Alex Carter got dumped by Detroit and I would swap him for Simon everyday and twice on Sunday. Interesting athletic profile ( http://www.mockdraftable.com/player/4962/ ) that is not great, but it fits Seattle's requirements.

Justin Hunter, Aaron Dobson or Cecil Shorts could be a possible #5 WR...

Two guys I really wanted us to draft were cut and could fill some holes. The Steelers cut OLB Travis Feeney (he's had some injuries) and the Bucs cut FB Dan Vitale (a SPARQ freak, but I don't know how good of a football player he is).

Hmmmm ... there are some VERY intriguing names among the cuts, including several rookies that many of us talked about leading up to the draft ...

WR -- Moritz Bohringer (Vikings)
G -- Willie Beavers (Vikings)
WR -- Devon Cajuste (49ers)
WR -- Kenny Bell (Buccaneers)
LB -- Travis Feeney (Steelers)
LB -- Taiwan Jones (Jets)
C -- Matt Skura (Ravens)
TE -- Ben Braunecker (Bears)

A few interesting ones on the veteran front that caught my eye ...
TE -- Jace Amaro (Jets)
CB -- Dee Milliner (Jets)
RB -- Bishop Sankey (Titans)
RB -- Justin Forsett (Ravens)
QB -- Matt Barkley (Cardinals)
DT -- Red Bryant (Cardinals)
G -- Josh Sitton (Packers)
WR -- Cecil Shorts (Texans)
DE -- Corey Lemonier (49ers)

I personally would be highly surprised if Schneider doesn't at least take a prolonged sniff on a few of these guys.

Waiver pick ups are starting to come through. Here are a few notable ones:

Pats signed RB Bishop Sankey to their practice squad
Jets claimed RB Troymaine Pope off waivers
Chiefs claimed ILB Sam Barrington off waivers
Jaguards claimed LB Arthur Browns off waivers
Titans claimed TE Jace Amaro off waivers
Chargers claimed RB Andre Williams off waivers
Dolphins claimed WR Justin Hunter off waivers

Feeney made it to the Steelers practice squad, meaning PC/JS had a chance to claim him and didn't. This is really baffling to me. I assume he had to be on their pre-draft radar simply due to his athletic profile. There must be something about him that they really don't like.

I'm wondering how Sankey still is eligible for PS. It seems like he played quite a bit for the titans.
According to this information he's played in 12 games so that should make him ineligible. I guess the rules are different for the Patriots.

Barkley cut by AZ.

He could be someone they look at...

I would. Personally, I don't think it's a good idea going into the regular season with such a raw QB backup in Boykin. I think that is just one bad hit from asking for real trouble. Our season could go downhill quickly if that happened.

This is not to say Barkley is a top flight QB backup. But PC does know him and would probably be able to put him into his system quickly and get him ready, if needed. Besides he could give us some good intel on Arizona.
