He earned a slot on an NFL team.

Can't say I am surprised.

Thought it would be the Ravens honestly.

I want Burley back badly. Oh well, I suppose. He'll help the Browns out.

Sad. Burley to the Browns.

Per Condotta.

I don't know the rules regarding this. Does a player picked up off of 53-man waivers automatically get a contract or is it a week to week deal.

I believe they take on the players prior contract.

I liked Pope but people are overstating his greatness.

Yep, he definitely had the best chance at the PS. Great strategy. Burley gone too. Just wonderful.

You'd think we just cut Earl Thomas or something the way people are upset over this Pope move. I mean he had a nice preseason but he's no better than the 3 guys who would be ahead of him on the depth chart.

I'm depressed about losing Burley and not having a true backup nickel corner, especially with Lane's injury history. I feel our rigid height requirement for corners may have backfired.

Burley is Josh Wilson all over again. I think Elliott will replace him just fine

Burley is a bigger loss.

But we are going to wish we kept him for KR.

That said, the concern is valid.

The team walked away from a guy that produces to keep guys that don't produce, and likely won't produce.

We got a slow big RB with bad fundamentals and a brittle inconsistent RB that we can only hope can turn back into a WR.

In return, we gave up a productive potential KR and change of pace back that can also catch passes (check his stats in college, he can catch).

I am more concerned with the defense, but this was a mistake by a FO.
