If Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana have to carry the weight of playing with greater overall teams, why is the strength of respective defenses not considered when comparing Tom Brady and Peyton Manning? It is generally realized that the defenses that anchored the Patriots to their first three Super Bowls are stronger than many – if not all – of the defenses that Manning had in Indianapolis during the same period. Statistically speaking, the defense that Manning won Super Bowl 41 with was the worst ever and last in NFL that season against the run. Would Brady have been able to win a Super Bowl with a D like that? We doubt it.....
