So the Houstan Texans's playoffs chances could miss the rest of the reason.

The way he plays the game, he might never be the same again. Back injuries are no joke.

It's official, he's been placed on IR.

I think he rushed coming back from surgery. He should have waited until game 3 or so.

I wonder if another team should take a lesson in that.

Thats exactly what I was going to post.... sometimes you have to save a player from himself.....

He is on the IR that can return after 6 weeks but sure it's a longshot.

You don't have to designate a player to return any more, however, so they could still take him off of IR later this year

A real shame for Houston. He's a great ambassador for the sport and a good guy. Hope he comes back healthy next year.

Understatement there! I'm looking at #5 this winter and lost track of the number of injections I've had in my back, and I'm not a very big person.

A man of that size and strength, I don't see how he can play again, let alone at such a high level.

Eric Davis, on NFL Total Access said th a t JJ "has given the ball back to his team 94 times!" As in, he has caused 94 turnovers!

That is an amazing number! Von Miller is second with 46!

I too, hope he makes a true come back.

Living in the Houston area, I get to see a lot of his off field stuff.
JJ is a Class act all the way. I'm a fan of his. Been to a couple of his softball games.
Beast on the field but always seems to be a humble gentleman off the field.
I wish his type was more prevalent in today's sport world.

That would be amazing if true. But he has 15 forced fumbles, 1 safety, and 1 interception. The 94 must include 3rd down stops to force punts.
