I found this to be very interesting concerning injuries. Matthews gets hurt playing OLB, but not MLB.
I think this comes down more to a particular player, than the position itself, but it would probably be a cool study to see if certain player builds are more susceptible inside, than outside.
Does it pertain to a player having short area quickness and being in contact with an opposing player, or having to launch or backpedal if they're on the outside where there's less contact?
