New England releases Jonathan Cooper

Per NFL.com. John would be foolish to not put in a claim for this guy. He's been bitten by the injury bug the last couple years, but he'd certainly be an upgrade over some of this teams current O line personnel. He just needs to get healthy.

In all reality though, I doubt they put in a claim for him. Cable probably feels confident enough about his current line. Just watch, some other team with lower waiver priority will get him :roll:
