Todd Gurley's YPC in each game this season:

vs 49ers -- 2.8
vs Seahawks -- 2.7
vs Buccs -- 3.1
vs Cardinals -- 1.7
vs Bills -- 3.1

His overall average is DEAD LAST in the NFL if you don't include injured Adrian Peterson who had one equally crappy game with Shaun Hill at QB @ Tennessee.

This is what you get if nobody respects the QB.

Of course it doesn't help with Jeff Fisher's bizarre arrangement of challenges, fake punts and overall determination to achieve another 7-9 season for his collection.

They need a qb and receivers. Teams only fear Gurley and are loading up to stop him.

If Gurley were better, he'd still get shit done.

See: Marshawn Lynch in Seattle before we had Russell Wilson.

Well, there's something about that Seattle OL that is special.

Marshawn Lynch was traded from Buffalo for a reason....

Once traded he had a few months with Matthew Hasselbeck.

He didn't start out 2011 all that great, but he started to put games together once Jackson and Whitehurst started playing better.

I think it might be nice to see the Gurley hype train cooled off a bit, but the monster will return soon.

Marshawn was traded because Lynch had some off field issues. They also drafted CJ Spiller and still had Fred Jackson so Lynch was traded. He also had two 1000 yard seasons before being traded.

When he played with Hasselbeck, Lynch had to learn Tom Cable's ZB scheme, once he learned it and trust it, he was effective afterwards.

Whitehurst and Tarvaris did not play better for Lynch to play better, Lynch was given 20+ carries later in the season when they went run heavy later in the season. They started out throwing it all over the field with Tarvaris and soon found that it was not the way to go. Whitehurst couldn't do anything with a Lynch-less offense against the Browns.

Lots of RB's in past have done the job without a great line..Payton and Sanders are among them

Lynch in 2011 - 15 games, 1204 yards, 12 TD
Gurley in 2015 - 13 games, 1106 yards, 10 TD

Yep. Gurley truly sucks.

Yet another great Roland take.

Gurley has played a majority of his career with Nick Foles and Case Keenum at QB. Tavon Austin is their best WR. So yeah, English is right, Fisher is killing Gurley by having terrible personnel around him.

If Gurley were a Seahawk or Cardinal, he'd be unstoppable. Personnel and scheme play such a huge role in what your offensive weapons are able to do.

Yet another shining example of your intellect. Accumulation-based stats mean......What, exactly? Everyone's talking about Gurley's stats this year. Through five games, he's at 2.7 YPC. That's horrible. Plus, as already pointed out, NINEster is wrong with the revisionist history; but whatever floats your boat, Hasselbeck.

That's 0.2 yards less than future hall-of-famer Trent Richardson had in his worst season.

Yeah, but Gurley's stats suck because everyone is keying on him because no one is afraid of Case Keenum.

The same can be said during Jamaal Charles, Marshawn Lynch, Adrian Peterson's careers with bad QBs, but they still average pretty good yardage for being keyed on.
