Hi everyone,

Firstly please let me explain my predicament, I am a mid 30's Atlanta Falcons fan from the England that will be on holiday in seattle over Superbowl weekend and I'm hoping that you guys may be able to tell me the best place to watch the superbowl? I assume their are not many Falcon fans in seattle......?

Anywhere that would be hospitable to a rival fan would be great :) . Me and my Mrs are staying in the stadium district if that helps.

BTW who do you guys want to win on Sunday? Is it the Falcons as both NFC etc? longshot haha.

Many thanks in advance.

Jamie.

If you're in the stadium district, you'll have a lot of options, and most on this site will have their own favorites. Usually pre-game I go to Quality Athletics. The food is great and there are plenty of TVs. Be forewarned that this is one of the few bars in the city where the tip is included in the bill, so there's no need to leave an extra tip for your food/drinks unless you're feeling generous.

I also like Elysian (also good food, but maybe not as many TVs).

Those are just a couple of my favorites. Honestly, if you just walk around either of the two stadiums (especially CenturyLink) or go to Pioneer Square, you're going to run into a ton of sports bars. Don't worry about being a Falcons fan, I'm sure a lot of Hawks will be rooting for them anyways.

Enjoy your time in Seattle!

There's a few of us here.

The job market here is considerably better than rural southeast Georgia... and that's why I came to the great northwest 5 1/2 years ago.

I'm watching it at home with about 4 of my Seattle fan friends who are rooting for the Falcons. :2thumbs:

There isn't a single Seahawks fan that wants the Patriots to win, so I'm pretty sure you won't be harassed anywhere you go. Quality Athletics and the Elysian are both good, but you will need to get there EARLY for both of them. Call to find out when they open up. As noted, Elysian has nowhere near as many TVs as Quality Athletics does.

Now, people may hate on me for this, but believe or not, Buffalo Wild Wings is pretty good to watch games at. They have some local microbrews, good wings, and a ton of TVs everywhere, and the environment brings a lot of sports fans so there's a good, vibrant crowd for sporting events...I generally don't like to recommend big chains for things as you can go to them anytime, but for a restaurant/bar game day experience, B-Dubz is surprisingly good.

I can't remember the last time I cared less about the Super Bowl, maybe 2003 Buccaneers-Raiders. That being said, I'll be pulling for the Pats because I appreciate sustained greatness and in the Falcons I see a "flash in the pan" franchise.

I appreciate sustained greatness without different cheating accusations (several of which have been PROVEN to be true) coming out every couple of years. Can't believe any non-Patriots fan would root for the Patriots to keep winning Super Bowls, at this point.

I see your point. As such, I'll just say that I don't want the Falcons to win and get their hopes up for a dynasty

Woah, didn't expect this amount of replies!
Thanks for your suggestions everyone, think I may go to quality athletics, someone mentioned "the ram (may be wrong) " which I think they said was in North seattle which isn't to bad, any thoughts?

I'm the eternal pessimist and expected us to go 0-6 at start of season so being in sb surprised me a tad haha. I'd love us to win but 'somehow' expect the patriots to do it. Hope I'm wrong like all of the his season!

Thanks

A dynasty........ Me thinks not, but the teams built for a good few years so stranger things have happened.

The Ram is a seattle based bar/restaurant. It is not too bad. They have several in the northwest including a couple in the Boise/Meridian area. Buffalo Wild Wings is decent and as there is only one game on, it should be easier to deal with than the multigame aspect they show on a regular season atmosphere. And at BWW, there are TVs everywhere. I dont recall the
Ram having too many tvs in the restaurant area. Although I usually sit in the bar area. Good luck in your experience.

Just about every Sports bar and Household will have it on, I imagine the Casinos also.

When I lived in West Seattle (moved in early 2008) The Rocksport was the place to go, but sadly it closed in 2012.

Way to help the guy out.

You're a treasure:{)

So where's your help?

The muskratface bar and grille?
While PMed's response to you is funny, Largent, I've got to give it to you - your response in kind is very amusing, also.

OLD MAN FIGHT! Let's see it!!

Oh, I just remembered another great suggestion, Jamie. Flatstick Pub: http://www.flatstickpub.com/

They have two locations, one in Pioneer Square which is pretty close to where you are. They serve Washington state microbrew beer EXCLUSIVELY and have tons of choices; it's a fantastic locally owned establishment, and they are not your typical bar. They have TVs and such, and probably special hours for the Super Bowl, you'll have to call them; but they have an indoor mini-golf course. How friggin' awesome is that?

Everybody should check out Flatstick at some point, either the Kirkland or P-Square one.
