Home opponents: Houston Texans*, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons*, San Diego Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs*, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins*, New York Jets

It would be tough to see Atlanta in the season opener...

Why?. I'd rather see them asap after this melt down.

NFL did that with the Broncos/Panthers rematch this year. Probs gonna do that again. I think NE wins comfortably in Foxboro.

Probably Atlanta. Darkhorse, I might say Chiefs.

This. Pretty much a lock it will be one of these two. The Thursday night opener is never a divisional game, and they wouldn't have Carolina two years in a row. The only other possibility I see is the Texans, because of the JJ Watt star factor, but probably only if they get a high profile name as QB like Romo.

If the Texans trade JJ Watt for Jimmy Garrapollo, that would be a great opener.

goodness.

You play who's in front of you and they do have Oakland and Denver on the road

It's between Atlanta and Kansas City, and the way the Super Bowl went.. I'd be floored if its not Atlanta.

I hope it's the Chiefs. It'd be pretty harsh to make the Falcons play their next competitive game in Foxboro.

They could do the Panthers for the whole Cam Newton angle.

The NFL had no problems making the Panthers go to Denver.

Funny how the Pats always have one of the league's perennially worst divisions in front of them.

I wouldn't call that a conspiracy. The Bills, Jets, and Dolphins have been run by chuckleheads for years. The Bills gave the Patriots a first round pick for Bledsoe. The Dolphins let the Patriots fleece them for Welker.
