  • ""There was no way he was really a second-round pick," coach Bill Belichick explained in Michael Holley's book War Room.

"He should have been a fourth- or fifth-round pick, by the film, by his performance. But you saw him as an ascending player and he had rare size, and there were a lot of things that you had to fix and all that. But it was clear that the league liked him. ... We just said, 'Look, we really want this guy. This is too high to pick him, but if we wait we might not get him.
    '""

So he's not worth the time of day or Belichick just throwing some fluff so they can sign him back for dirt cheap and discourage other teams from checking him out.

Timely example of how decision makers are feeling the pressure to "reach" for candidates to develop into offensive linemen. Clearly yet another example of the effects of this severe ongoing shortage of offensive linemen.

    Thanks for posting. :2thumbs:

  • Sebass is a good player, not great, but buyer beware. His main problem is injuries. He hasn't played a full season since 2010.
