Kirk Cousins to San Francisco imminent?
Tue Mar 07, 2017 6:23 pm

  • Mike Silver also says he believes Cousins to SF is going to happen.

Will be interesting to see what the Redskins get back for it and if they're really in on Romo.

  • Stupid move for the Redskins..

    Romo is crap.
    Cutler is crap.
    Kapi s crap.
    Jimmy G is crap.

If they do trade Kirk, if Im the front office I would immediately be calling New Orleans asking about Brees.

  • Very interested to see the Redskins plan. Hard to fathom why they'd be willing to trade him away, considering other options.

  • I think this could make sense for the Redskins. If they don't think he's the answer, might as well get what they can for him and try to find somebody else. Might be a bit in the darkness while they search but how much benefit is there to having an OK quarterback?

That franchise has been a wreck since Snyder bought it.

Could be true, but that tweet, which is how the story got started, is from some guy with a podcast in Australia that nobody has ever heard of before (not who you'd expect to have a huge scoop like this).

  • If true. Goody gum drops lol. On a positive note. He is better than anything in the draft and free agency. And better than any QB SF has had since Jeff Garcia.

I thought Alex Smith was doing good until he got hurt, then traded after Kaep got the nod. Not sure if he would be ok in your system now or not. I dunno.

  • Andy Reid's system is about as friendly to Alex Smith's strengths and weaknesses as you can find, and the Chiefs are actively looking into moving on from him.

Like Andy Dalton or Tyrod Taylor Alex Smith isn't really good or bad. He's just fine.

  • Charley Casserly predicted the trade in his latest mock draft on NFL.com.

I'm thinking because of that, there is no way in he77 that it happens, because, well Casserly is an idiot.

  • Hoyer wasn't too shabby in Cleveland in 2014 when kyle was his OC, nothing to get too excited about but he can be a decent bridge QB until we get someone worthy

  • This is why Imminent until the ink is on paper is dumb to say.

Kevin Jones of KNBR reports that Washington owner Daniel Snyder “is holding onto bad blood” between himself and 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan. Snyder doesn’t want to help Shanahan succeed, which could keep the owner from ever signing off on any trade.

Who wins this dumb-off? Dan Snyder or Jed York?

  • What do you think are the chances the Niners signed Hoyer with the hope the Redskins might drop their asking price?

They should if their intent is not to resign him after this season. Might as well get something for nothing

If you read the line carefully, it says $16 million in the first year, not APY for the entire contract. Garcon was never anywhere close to a $16 million APY WR, or even 10. Hell Antonio Brown is "only" getting 15?

You have cap space GALORE, front load the deals. :2thumbs:

    Front loaded contract, apparently.

But I doubt Cousins will be in SF until 2018, when he's an unrestricted FA and the skins won't franchise him.
