Per Jordan Schultz of Huffington Sports/Bleacher Report. Says he is their top FA priority.

No idea if this guy is credible FWIW

That said, adding Lang at RG allows for an interesting OL group pre-draft.

Fant, Joeckel, and Odhiambo could compete for the LT spot
Glowinski, Joeckel, and Odihambo could compete at LG
Ifedi and Gilliam and possibly Joeckel could compete for RT

He is expected to get $11million+ per year. After Joeckel I doubt the Hawks could do that.

Really hope they get him. Hearing on twitter that seahawks are very serious and he is their top priority.

Please add a link or this post will be moved to the NFL Forum. Otherwise there would be 50 posts in here about players from somewhere that someone had heard might be coming here.

If it isn't linked to a post about Seattle, it isn't Seahawk related.

People need to read the rules about posting. :34853_doh:

Would be interesting.

My guess is, if he signs, then we move Ifedi to RT competition. Joeckel probably mixes it up with Fant.

LIke this...

The Seahawks will host former Green Bay Packers guard T.J. Lang, one of the top free agent offensive linemen in the NFL, according to a Thursday report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Lang visited the Detroit Lions Thursday and will reportedly be in Seattle Friday, with The Huffington Post's Jordan Schultz calling Lang a "top priority" for the Seahawks.

Strange Seahawks talk video on this page too. Who are these people?

""“We told Green Bay all along that we’ll keep them updated on any other offers that come in, and really at that point it would just be, ‘Hey, this is what we’ve got sitting on the table, can you guys compete with it?’ Obviously we’re going to give them the first right of refusal,” Lang said. “[We will] let them know, ‘Can you come close? Can you match it? This is what we’ve got, this is what the market’s set at.’

This guy is a lost cause. The Pack wants him and I don't see us spending this kinda $$ on a guard when that is a stronger position than tackle. This is an exercise in futility IMO. From that article......

" The player just ahead of him on PFF's list, Kevin Zeitler, reportedly agreed to a five-year, $60 million contract with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday that includes $31.5 million in guarantees."

Make it happen. Offer him as sexy a contract as you can, and dont let him leave the damn building. Plug him in and let the line compete for the 3 remaining spots. Draft defense. Win the Super Bowl.

Unless the Hawks can make a miracle & restructure a current contract to free up money, there is no way he lands here.

On the flipside, it is nice to see them actually being somewhat active with Oline help.

Not bad at all, and likely a lot better than the Swiss Cheese of last season.

They still have cap space to get him.

I think you still see Gilliam or Fant at LT and Joekel at RT, Lang for Glow and Ifedi RG.

Like it or not Fant is in and Gilliam is a big question mark. I fully expect Fant to start all season and to surprise the hell out of most fans. Gilliam, well, I think he signs elsewhere.

Started the day at $24mil IIRC, minus $8mil for Luke which leaves $16mil.

Sign him for $10-$12mil doesn't leave you much
