    I've worn US XL size shirts all of my adult life. Anything I've bought in XL and had a chest size listed on the tags showed 46-48 chest. I'm 6' and about 200 right now, but got up to about 230 when I was working out heavy and those fit but were pretty form fitting. Lacy is listed at 5' 11" and 234 so an XL size for him doesn't sound unreasonable if he likes tight fitting shirts.
