Bills release 23 Year Old 2nd Round Pick OT Cyrus Kouandjio

He's had some off the field issues but has reportedly improved every season and did a solid job filling in for injured LT Cordy Glenn last season.

Last season, Kouandjio’s overall grade of 76.7 ranked 34th among 78 qualifying NFL tackles.
Kouandjio was also 29th out of 74 tackles with a pass-blocking efficiency of 95.2.

Over 207 pass-blocking snaps, Kouandjio didn’t allow a single QB hit, and surrendered only one sack. However, he did allow 12 QB hurries.

Kouandjio’s playing time did increase from 2015, as he went from playing only 234 snaps due to injuries to 406 in 2016.




Are the Hawks desperate enough to take a chance on the 23 year old?

He'll probably get snatched up pretty early in waivers, so the Hawks probably won't have a chance anyways.

That would be a major reason to cut a guy.

I guess he's not doing good mentally or physically since nobody picked him off waivers.

He also had a knee problem in college and a hip injury a few months ago.

Could be a great pick up if healthy and compete with Fant and Ifedi for the starting LT/RT job.

Lot's of people speculate Alabama players are maxed out before the NFL and don't have much room to grow. Really, if you look closely, how many Alabama players are elite in the NFL?? Julio? Anyone else?
