  • Wow, just one year after the Bucs traded into the second round for him. I'd be OK with letting him compete with Blair.

That was a prevailing opinion about the kicker we did sign. Maybe one of them could become better for the opportunity.

  • " but now maybe Aguayo can shake off the pressure of his draft status and thrive on another team."

He was great in college. Nothing to lose in bringing him in to compete with Walsh.

  • We were unable to get Hauschka back to old form so not sure we can "fix" this guy....

  • Bringing him in would only hurt the mental side of Blair's game, IMO.

If having a little competition does that to Blair, we need to find another kicker asap anyway.

  • Isn't it "always compete?"

Should apply to kickers as well...

If we lose games because of Walsh and his mental block, I am going to be pissed.

  • I don't know how good it'll be for his confidence to be trying to get back on track in the windy city, but if Aguayo does win the Bears job, I'd be interested in their regular kicker, Connor Barth, if the team isn't comfortable with Walsh (I don't see any reason to believe they arn't comfortable, but preseason could change things). I liked Barth a lot coming out of North Carolina.
