  • The team didn't just lose their heart and offence when he left.....but the biggest source of off-field entertainment.

The Hawks are missing an "It" factor these days that make them exciting.

I didnt believe it at first when alot of people said it, but lynch really was the heart of the offense. He really did bring a toughness and attitude to the whole team as well.

Hardly Beasting. Glad he's having fun in his home town though. Though they'll choke in the playoffs.

  • I love Marshawn for what he did here but I could care less about the Raiders. I do not root for other teams because they have former Seahawks on them. Heck, I live in Lions country but do not root for the Lions because Golden Tate plays for them. To me, it's just bandwagon hopping-something I never do. Maybe I am weird.

He barely played on Sunday. They didn't need to use their main guy cus of their lead.

And Marshawn has never been a yardage guy anyway, his main selling point is how bad he beats them up.

  • Only 767 yards away from the 10,000-rushing-yards club.

If he plays in the next 14 games, he would need to average just under 55 yards per game over the rest of the season.

Being happy for Marshawn isn't quite the same thing as rooting for the Raiders. Wouldn't call it bandwagoning. Also, the Raiders are an AFC team that doesn't play the Hawks this year, so them winning can only help us in playoff seeding. I get the point about the Lions though, wouldn't want them to compete with us for HFA, however unlikely that is.

He had just 12 carries and a TD as they're limiting his workload to have him fresh for the stretch. He had a great week 1 and has looked better this year than he has since '14. So yes, actually he is beasting.

I don't know. Something clicked in that late-2015 time frame. We were running on teams at will for 5-6 yards a pop for a few games there. It was a thing of beauty.

The line needs to click first. If they can become competent, it opens everything up and the offense is suddenly very good with the weapons available.

    Too soon Oakland......................too soon.

I'm happy for Marshawn, no hard feelings here. Great to see him having success in his hometown giving those fans something to cheer for before their greedy ass owner with the worst haircut in the history of sports rips their team away.

  • I peripherally watch what Tate is doing in Detroit, Kearse is doing in NY etc, but it's different with Lynch.

I just love watching him run. When the history books are written, credit for the Seahawks Super Bowl run will be given to the defense and to Lynch. He was the face of the franchise, and a player who was immediately recognizable by people who aren't even fans of the game. Fans of other teams would tune in to see what Lynch was up to. Fans of other teams were actually Beast Mode fans too.

Had "the play" resulted in an incompletion, and Beast got the carry and the 6 on the next play, he would have punched his ticket to Canton, and the Hawks trajectory wouldn't have taken the sharp bend that it did.

I couldn't care less about the Raiders as a team, but if the Hawks can't win it all this year, I hope Lynch does.

  • Beasting? Really? 36 carries for 139 yards and a 3.9 yard average. People here are so kneejerk angry over a slow start that they'd believe this bullshit. Marshawn is 31. He sucked at 29 in 2015. If he reaches 800 yards this season, I will be shocked. I loved him for what he did here, but this is not vintage 2012 Beast. He is done.

  • Beast has actually had really bad run blocking so far in the games that I've watched. Him "beasting" so far has been him regularly turning a -2 yard play into a 1 yard gain, a zero gain play into a 4 yard gain or a 3 yard gain into a 10 yard gain.

Anyone who is just looking at his stats and making a judgment is kidding themselves.

I think he's a shadow of his former self. Love the guy, wish him the best, but I think their smartass "Seattle" call is going to come back and bite them on the ass.

I have no problem with who he considers family (blood, team or city). I remember people here saying he's smart and good with money decisions.

Well, it's gonna cost reportedly as much as $110,662 game check and base pay. Also likely $30,000 for contacting an official and maybe $6,000 for entering a fight area.
Two lost game decreases his chance of gaining incentive bonuses for yards and td ($400,000 at 500yds, another $400,000 at 600 yds, etc..)
