Thought this thread should exist. Folks could come back and intermittently post things they've read and liked.

Will kick it off with Benoit from this morning on what has has happened with the Chiefs offense, and what to do about it.

He tries to explain away that Smith CAN DO what he's calling for, but having seen Smith play throughout his whole career, I don't totally buy it, and also think what he's calling for totally goes against Andy Reid's philosophy. Sure, the old guy built in some college trickery that layered over his traditional preferences, but he's not going to turn into Bruce Arians all of a sudden.

Still a good read on the chess match that is the NFL.

Oh Smitty.

Always found it fascinating that Smith seems to have big stretches of play where he looks pretty good before he gets figured out. It's like teams have amnesia each year when it comes to defending him.

Not sure how he survived the Giants figuring him out in 2011/2012, when they weren't even an all world defense. It's bizarre also that he hasn't lost to the Seahawks since 2010. He hasn't lit them up a whole lot, but wins are wins.

Arm strength?

He had it up to that game at Qwest Field when Rocky Bernard annihilated that shoulder. He had #1 overall arm talent on draft day and you can see that all throughout 2006.

Qwest - where 49ers go for career cripping injuries.
