Feels weird that Kirk Cousins of all people about to change NFL contracts. No one really deserves fully guaranteed contacts. Performance and health are not guaranteed. Going to see some guys get really lazy after signing these types of deals.

I really don't understand the whole 'Kirk contract is going to change contracts forever' notion.

Almost all QB contracts are guaranteed for the first three years anyway.

Because it will be the first big time fully guaranteed contract. Other positions will then push for it, the NFLPA will be all over it in the next CBA because one team caved. It will snow ball. Fully guaranteed contracts would be bad for the sport as is, they’d need to design exceptions against the cap etc.
