Shead is okay but he's not a ET or Sherm or even BMax. Heck Shaq Griffin is better than Shead. He's a very replaceable player that has been already replaced by others.

Shead was about physicality, decent cover skills as a Safety, good on special teams, good Football smarts. But most of all versatility.

Bob Condotta put this out there today

Cameron Foster, agent for DeShawn Shead, said he called John Schneider about Detroit's offer giving Seahawks chance to match or better. Schneider told him "he should take it. That's a good contract and we're not going to be able to go there.''

Not a big loss by any means.

I really had him pegged back here in the $1.2-1.8M range but I would have been a bit disappointed at $3.5M.

I think 3.5 is worth it for Detroit, not for us though.
