Why Didn't Dak and Ezekiel Play?

We all know that the 3rd preseason game is the official dress rehearsal for the regular season where the starters (should) play into the 3rd quarter.

So why didn't Dak and Ezekiel play a snap? Even Tom Brady has played several series this preseason.

Just thought that was a curious thing that I don't recall any media really mentioning.

Apparently because of recent injuries to other players, they don't want to risk those two. Being too cautious could bite them in the ass though too. :3-1:

MvV has alone made a huge shift in how pre season games are played.

If he’s successfull, it will be all over the talking heads next year. Gamble this year.

Rams O have played zero preseason. Rams D played a series that killed D Watson.

Zeke only has so much tread on that tire, and *allas’s plan is to run him into the ground.
Got a feeling his career is going to be a short one either from the physicality in which he plays or his outside football issues, or both. Dak, don’t know why.

Using that logic the Seahawks would not have seen Wilson on the field last year

None other then Brown who was hurt and played anyway and Britt who slid back deserved to be called starters with how they played.

I'd actually say that it is more of an unofficial dress rehearsal for the regular season, and in part that is why numerous starters around from around the league don't play.

Yup. They've already had 4 injuries to their starting front 5 through the preseason.

Playing scared or safe does nothing but put you out of synch..
The sane effect for playoff teams who rest their players for 1-2 games.
You play with what you have otherwise team does not get better.

And tearing your ACL in preseason is tragic. I'd rather risk being out of sync than risk injury. That said, it makes watching the games more boring when none of the starters are in.

Because by definition if you play fewer snaps you're less likely to get hurt?
