Well, I'd certainly trust Mayock to make Oakland's draft selections more than I would Gruden.

I like Mayock, but I don't think this is some type of slam-dunk hire by the Raiders. This is pretty much the same situation as hiring Gruden, bringing a guy back to the real football world rather than just talking about it and being popular on TV. Decisions matter, especially when you're the ones making them.
Definitely interested to see how this plays out after 3-4 years.
