Bears only have themselves to blame. They could have rested starters week and hosted a barely average Minnesota team. Instead they let Foles and a red hot Philly team get into the tournament.

Would that have been better than a Vikings team that was heating up with a new OC?

Lots of criticism about the Bears beating the Vikes to let the Eagles in the tournament.

Remember, it was the Bears who laid down in week 17 of the '10 season to let the Packers in the tournament. That same GB squad went on to beat them in the NFCCG before winning it all in the SB against the Steelers.

So to criticize the Bears for beating the Vikes is a bit hypocritical.

If only they had a decent QB to go with that outstanding defense.

What a horrible way to lose a game. And this guy has hit the uprights 5 times, at least. You have one job.

While Trubisky hasn't been a world beater up to this point, he stepped up in 4th when they had to have it. The defense couldn't come up with a stop at the end to win the game.

And the kicker hit another (another... look it up, its crazy how many times he did it this year) goalpost

Trubisky played pretty well for them

That kick was blocked, so the special teams had one job, block so the kicker can kick it without it being tipped.

If Al Michaels is doing your team's wild card game and they are lining up for a game winning kick, be afraid. He did yesterday's game, pretty sure he also did the Hawks win with the Blair Walsh kick, and also Romo's botched snap.

It's incredibly ironic. Bears fans before this year were saying they are the "Rams" of the upcoming season. Boy were they dead right:

Both hired innovative offensive minds

Both had a "first round bust" at QB

Both completely overhauled their WR group for that QB

Both went worst to first

Bears won 12 games, we won 11 - but we rested our starters, otherwise we probably both win 12

Both were the 3 seed

Both lost to the disappointing defending NFC champs

Both were failed by their supposed elite unit (offense for the Rams, defense for the Bears)

Both at critical special teams gaffes (fumbles for us, missed FG for them)

The big difference I see is that the Bears have a long ways to go offensively, and teams not named Seattle typically don't repeat this type of defensive performance year in and year out.

Your receivers will likely have a field day vs. Dallas. Might not be able to run the ball very well though. Though I suspect that your OC will actually make adjustments instead of just doing the same thing over and over and over again like the Hawks did on Saturday.

Not really. They added the WR's over the last two years. Many of them were added before Mitchy T was drafted.

They had a top 10 defense in 2017 then they added a once in generation pass rusher unexpectedly.

Goff and Trubisky are not really similar. Goff was a more established college passer and his season with McVay was a lot better than Trubisky's
