oh boy, here we go..........every time someone signs with another team, somehow the Hawks are the stupid ones. :?
There are 30 other teams besides the Cards and Hawks. All of them skipped on this deal for Suggs.

To get a situational pass rusher for one season for 7 million? That is a smart move every season. It looks like he just wanted to go back to the Phonix area and was not really looking to win.

Yeah, good price for him. But that doesn't mean the Hawks are stupid for not signing him. Guys who are free agents can choose where they go. He wanted to play there, good for him.

He had 1.5 sacks over the last half of the season, including the playoff game. He's also played in a 3-4 for the last 15 years. Even if he/the Seahawks had interest, he may not be a good fit.

He's going to be 37 when the season starts..

No thanks, I'd rather take that $7mil and place it towards someone younger with a longer shelf life

I don't think he was going to play for anyone else except Baltimore (if they wanted him back) or Arizona (which is where he grew up and lives). Can't force a player to sign somewhere they don't want to.
