If Sherman can play vs the seahawks he will no doubt. Hes been a very important piece of that defense and a leader for that team.

Yeah that would be a big loss for them. On a side note, it's interesting how much he goes to bat for his new QB. Yet he has zero problems bashing the best QB he has ever had, and who ALWAYS had Sherm's back.

Mosely already played 1/2 the year when Witherspoon was out. I think we will be fine against the Falcons, but will have a tougher test against the Rams. If Sherman can play week 17, you know he will try.

Change of scenery. I think Sherm and RW might have had a personal issue, which is why he didn't take the QB-bashing to SF. Even under Mullens (who had far less TV time than Sherm), he kept it cordial. I think he personally likes Jimmy G a lot more and now has experience that bashing the QB (no matter what's going on personally) is never a good idea.

Jimmy's anything but a choirboy as evidenced by then porn star date, Russ is absolutely one. Nothing else makes sense in the 2 dynamics as you outlined them.

Russel's "chiorboy" status is annoying. Sean Alexander was worse. IDK, chiorboy types always annoy me, but I like real players, guys like Marshawn. Quiet, humble, gets it done. I liked Hasselbeck and Zorn and Krieg more in that way too.

I like Wilson for his play, but this is the Nof For Long league, and it's ALWAYS about "what have you done for us lately?"

Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Russell Wilson at all, but the squeeky clean chiorboy crap can be anoying to anyone.

I'm thinking the reason is because Jimmy G has not costed Sherm a Super Bowl win yet. Also Sherm has probably matured a bit since then. :les:

It's childish crap is what it is. So he should bash his teammate who always had his back? He should bash coaches during the game, bash Pete and Russ after the fact like Sherm? He should act like Cam Newton or Aaron Rodgers?
Russ isn't a loud mouth who screams in everyone's face telling them how great he is. Because that isn't annoying at all, right Sherm?
I loved the guy when he was here, but his antics got real old.
But go ahead and continue to make excuses for Sherm.
And clearly is was Russ who gave up a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter. Because it's NEVER the fault of the Defense, especially if Sherm was there. Team loss.
And why is it annoying to you? It bothers you that he's a good guy who has never ONCE called out a teammate? Isn't that what you want from your Quarterback? :?

Moseley has played well, but neither he nor Witherspoon has played in Sherm's position. This next Sunday will be an "audition" for one of them.

Garland might be a bigger issue, but damn that guy is versatile for a backup.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Garland

Garland was signed to the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad on September 9, 2015.[9] On December 15, 2015, he was signed to the active roster.[10] On January 14, 2017, Garland lined up at defensive tackle and recorded his first career safety after downing Russell Wilson after he tripped over guard Rees Odhiambo's foot while taking a snap during the NFC Divisional Playoff against the Seattle Seahawks.

Garland has played pretty well. Richburg has been hurt a lot for us. So we have had guys step in at Center. This position I don't think will be a huge issue. There are some other guys on the roster who are versatile enough to play Center too.

Whut?

A few things on this:

(1) You're dramatically overstating the tension between Wilson and Sherman. They exchanged jerseys with each other after the game a last month. They're not friends but they're not enemies either.

(2) We already know precisely what Sherman's beef with Wilson was because it has been reported to death, and it wasn't ever really about Wilson. Rather it was a belief among more than a few Seahawks players that Wilson wasn't held to the same standard as the rest of the team by Pete Carroll, who basically gave him a free pass on accountability (they believed).

The schism between Wilson and parts of the rest of the team was about a (perceived) failure of leadership that metastasized.

Sherm chose to bash Russ and Pete. As well as screaming at coaches during the game. Russ and Pete chose to be adults. See it how you want to.

Part of this just might be me being a pessimist who still can't really grapple with the 9ers being good this year, but honestly I think we're reaching the point where the team can't outrace the injuries anymore.

They've been somehow dealing with it all year but they're now down Alexander, Tartt, Sherman, Ford, Richburg, Goodwin, Pettis, in addition to a whole mess of rotational and depth pieces like Blair and Moore, and in addition to guys who they lost before the year started like McKinnon.

To really understand the impact of that, they have more than 70 million dollars of salary cap space out of the lineup right now, which is just crazy.

If you're a Hawks fan, go here and find another 50 million dollars of salary to shave off for the remainder of the regular season:

https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/seattle-seahawks/

That's the comp you have to make.

It's so obvious to me why the difference in treatment is there.

Teammates care more about a person's authenticity than their off the field actions.

Dating a porn star versus not dating one, is how you compare the two? LMFAO.

You think anyone on the '80s Giants GAF that Lawrence Taylor was a total madman off the field??

BTW, I can tell Seahawk fans finally something very tangible about what makes Wilson annoying in what he says during games to teammates:

When watching that MNF dialogue.....what made it cringe, wasn't so much what Wilson was saying. It was that the guy spoke at a thousand words a minute delivering it. Holy f*** the guy was just reciting lines left and right without letting them breathe.

Just look at how 99.9999% of other QBs and players deliver their lines, and then Wilson. Everyone else delivers it a lot slower and intense. Wilson just spits them out like he's gotta get it all in before the commercial ends....

Don't get me wrong, maybe a phrase or two can be fast. But the entirety of it? SMH.

So teammates would respect Ray Rice more than Russell Wilson? I personally prefer someone a bit quirky and annoying to someone who beats women, but maybe that is just me.

As usual, Sherm is never in the wrong. He's been nothing but class his whole career and has never called out teammates or coaches.
Better?

As usual, anything that's not complete and total fealty to the glory that is St. Russell is worthy of excommunication for impure thoughts and eventual beheading.

Best?
