  • As much as I hate the 9ers, this guy is insanely talented. He’s by far, one of the best offensive players in the league. Why SF is dragging their heels to extend him is beyond me. We all know he wants to break the bank as a wideout, because TE money is no where near as good. Hey, if San Fran don’t wanna pay him, send him up here!

    Kittle ain't goin' anywhere.

The problem is the cap in future years. Whereas the expectation was that the cap would be in the 215 mil range for the 2021 season, with the COVID situation it could now be as low as 175 Mil. That's a 40 mil swing and that uncertainty creates issues of structure on contracts in future years.

Make no mistake tho...Kittle won't hit the open market. If he's traded (which won't happen either) there is no way in hell they trade him to Seattle. :D

Well if he can breath they won't, like Sherman there they know what we are and what he would bring to our culture.

Ya, and the only reason Sherman ended up in SF was that he had a big cap number, was in his 30s, and was coming off an injury. None of those things apply to Kittle.

Kittle would be HUGE in Seattle...which is one reason SF will never let it happen...or at least not for the next 5 or 6 years.

This will get done. Just a matter of time.

Why you need to look at Stats and have scouts watch a player, Heart isn't measured, you see it, feel it and live with it, something Kittle and Sherm both dId as did Kam and Doug Baldwin. Oh some some too short, not black enough career back up if he is lucky QB.

Correct. SC won’t let him go. .....but he’ll eat up a ton of cap space and that will hurt even more if the cap drops. John Clayton was talking about this very thing on the radio today.

  • Having Kittle in Seattle would be a waste amount of Cap Space for the Seahawks.

RW doesn't need any superstar TE, and he even make scrubs look good.

Past TE's: Luke Wilson, Zach Miller, Nick Vannett, Ed Dickson, Will Dissly, Hollister, Graham,

Most of those TE's never looked good. Only Miller, Dissley and Graham, which two of those guys happen to be former probowlers before arriving on the Seahawks -- Graham being an all-pro. Graham and Miller both under performed on the Hawk's compared to their previous teams, though that was on the OC.

A good TE is absolutely needed on the Seahawks. Schottenheimer in particular loves utilizing TE's in the pass game, unlike Darrell Bevell who pissed away the potential of two very good pass catching TEs in Graham and Miller. Schottenheimer utilizes TE's much better and he has made them a large part of his offense since arriving. Dissely when healthy was essentially our number two WR and huge endzone threat. We used him in the slot occasionally, on the line, we loved sending him in motion. There is a good reason why Seattle drafted and signed a bunch of TE's this offseason.

If there is one thing Schottenheimer knows how to do, it's making good usage of his TEs.

You don't think Hollister did a good job?

Nope, he is a below average pass catching TE that happens to be a decent blocker. The guy dropped some really easy passes, and he wasn't exactly a great route runner either. He's just your average backup TE, there is a reason why we went out and signed Greg Olsen, plus drafted a few tight ends. He's essentially in the same tier of skill as 2014 Luke Willson at this point in time.

I say yes, he's a slightly bigger body than Hollister, and falls forward. Ball crosses line by 2 inches. Or, as heady as he is, he extends ball over goal line in his hands, even if the other physics were the same.
