Jason Hansen retiring

I see in our paper this morning that Jason Hansen of Detroit is retiring.

Had a long, long, career.

Went to High School here at Mead and attended WAZZU. Nice job Jason.

Damn, there goes a legend and one of the most consistently rewarding late fantasy draft selections in NFL history. No matter how crazy life was or what was going on around me, I always had the comfort of watching the Lions on Thanksgiving and seeing that old, familiar face out there. Cheering for Jason Hansen had become a family tradition for me and my family during Thanksgiving. Without him, what is there to give thanks for? Tough day for me, you can see I'm not taking the news too well. The game just lost an icon today.

I remember being at a bar in 1990, looking up at the Cougs game and seeing him kick it through the goal post on a kick-off. That guy has been in the league a LOOOOOOONNNNGGG time.

Great career. It will be more than weird to see someone else kicking for Detroit.

Now who am i supposed to draft as a kicker for fantasy football? Consistent 12 points per game every season.
