He may not have had the best hands, but he wasn't garbage either. Stevens ring a bell?

If your saving grace is, "he's better than Jeremy Stevens..." Then that's sad. Itulla Mili was better than both.

Sorry to hear. Seemed like a good guy, though I thought Ruskell over-drafted him and should have tried for Fred Davis late in the 2nd instead of moving up.

He actually had good hands until AFTER his first concussion, then he started dropping more and more passes.

If you don't like him cool, not going to try to change your mind on the matter.

Here's some additional info beyond the 1 liner in the OP post.
Thanks for posting. It sounds a lot like the sentiment expressed by Unger. I think early retirement is something we may see more of from NFL players.

Gawd, it seems like forever since Hass was behind center leading the charge and throwing TDs at Seahawks Stadium.

That Saints game alone will mean he'll be forever cemented in Seahawks folklore, but he was also awesome his rookie season when he was the leading receiver on the team. Shame he never really kicked on from there.

Seems strange they say he's only had 3, one with the Vikings, and 2 with Notre Dame. He had several here as well right?

From the referenced site >>>

Two weeks ago in Baltimore, Carlson suffered his third known NFL concussion. He had two more documented while at Notre Dame. Carlson indicated there have been others.

3 NFL + 2 ND = 5 reported concussions. Plus he indicated there may have been other unreported concussions.

Dude was out cold against the Bears in that playoff game in 2010. I believe the Hawks lost both TE's in the first couple plays that day.

Carlson couldn't separate, and he couldn't block, but he still produced on crappy offenses his first two years. If it wasn't because of having good hands, I don't know how he accomplished that.
