"@RapSheet: The #Browns have emerged as the team to beat for Karlos Dansby, per source. #Titans, #Cardinals feel they are out."

Karlos Dansby quietly had a very impressive season last year and was actually in the race for DPOY(albeit the smallest chance of all the players in contention). This is going to be a major blow for the Cards which is great.

Browns on a roll. Possibly getting Dansby, Whitner & Revis?

EDIT:

@kentsomers hearing Dansby to Browns, 4yrs/$24m. $10m year 1, $14m guaranteed.

If they were to grab those 3 and somehow got a decent QB, they might actually be a playoff team.

that's the concern. Plus they still need a running game

The salary floor is the best part of the CBA. The vets must love it. How else can one explain the Browns giving 14M guaranteed and a four-year contract to a 33-year-old LB that doesn't rush the passer as often?

Farmer has to spend that money, though. He should have passed on Dansby and just paid Revis his dough, then gave some of Dansby's dough to Golden Tate or Eric Decker (preferably Decker). Draft Bridgewater after that and maybe they actually make the playoffs this year.

Because that 33 year old LB just came off a 120 tackle, 6.5 sack, 4 int 19 PD season

Uh huh. So you're saying this is a perfect case of overpaying for past production instead of likely future production, then.
