taunting and sportmanship. Says the owners are VERY CONCERNED about the rise in taunting penalties last year. No mention that they added to the rules about defining taunting last year, like spinning the ball.

LULZ. I am guessing the cut up the owners saw included several clips of Janoris getting waved at by Golden and ass whipped by Steve Smith. I doubt it had Langford losing his mind in week 17, though.

How the hell is this guy on the rules committee?

I just saw it on Twitter. Said 'it's funny coming from Fisher. His teams play consistently dirty"

Panther fans should get a good chuckle. Their game against the Rams was like something out of Rollerball.

LMAO. . Fisher? Child please. Does anyone think Tate makes a taunt if the Rams DBs weren't talking smack?

After week 17, Fisher is nothing short of hilarious with this.

Wow! Are those stats for real? Wish someone had brought that up. That's embarrassing.

Overall # of penalties per game (including playoffs because that's how the site tracks it, but Seattle's rankings above are based on per-game averages, so even though the raw numbers of penalties include playoff games, the spot rankings are more fair and comparable to non-playoff teams) for St. Louis: #2 in the league with 7.69. Overall # of penalties per game for Seattle: #1 in the league with 8.00.

The Rams are more dirty in only two penalties that really matter when talking about dirty play, IMO; disqualifications and unsportsmanlike conduct. We get flagged more than they do overall, though. If anybody wants to look up penalty info, the site is http://www.nflpenalties.com.

This is the same man that hires Greg Williams as his defensive coordinator and now he is lecturing the world on sportsmanship?? GTFO.

Granted, a lot of the penalties are rare and offer a small sample size which makes some of the ranks seem higher than they are, but still, across the board, that's a lot of categories with a lack of discipline and shows that it's not a coincidence. Seattle may have led the league in penalties, but they were more of the procedural or discretionary variety. St Louis was in the top 5 of every 'dirty' or so-blatant-that-you-have-to-call-it penalty that there's a rule for. And that's just the ones that were called...there were several that were missed or declined because other penalties superseded them, such as in week 17.
