Memo to Jim Harbaugh: Stay out of player contract dealings

The 49er Way is a fairy tale. Just as it is for any other team. This is a business, and Davis and Boone are taking care of their individual business. Whether anybody thinks they deserve new deals or not, it's their choice.

There is nothing that infuriates a player more than when a coach -- who has nothing to do with the business-side of things on a roster -- decides that he's going to say something about a player's contract or holdout.
As a former player, Harbaugh has to know this. Yet it didn't stop him last week from making some snide comments about the absences of tight end Vernon Davis and guard Alex Boone from mandatory minicamp.

Eh, he's broken-clock right about this, but on the other hand, it's Prisco.

Look at this dude's photo on his article. He even looks like King of the Douchelords.

Funny to me that Prisco doesn't have much to say when Harbaugh essentially says players deserve new contracts in front of the media. That's actually "reportedly" a point of contention between he and Baalke. Who knows what to believe tho.
