It's a real bummer. Hope the doctors can find something to slow down the Alzheimer's progress.

Grandpa had it and died of it in the 90s, but later we realized the symptoms were there much earlier. Like not knowing who I was when I called 15 years earlier. It can start out light, some memory loss but it creates total havoc on a body later.

That's just horrible.

Haven't had Alzheimer's in the family but my Grandfather died of Parkinsons. Different, but don't wish those ailments on anyone.

Well I hope those new drugs that they are calling breakthrough for treatment and remission of Alzheimer's work. Read about them recently.

They also said that if you exercise the mind by reading interesting articles, it helps slow the advancement. Lost a relative recently cause of it.
