Darrelle Revis gave up a TD yesterday to Mike Wallace and generally had trouble tracking him around. I believe he had 2 PD as well, but I just have one question:

Did Revis give up more or less TDs on Sunday than Richard Sherman gave up on Thursday?

Tonight: Phillip Rivers craps on Patrick Peterson.

Everyone knows that getting burned by the opposing teams top receiver is way better than shutting down 1 side of the field all game.

Joe Haden also got lit up by Antonio Brown yesterday. Brown just flat out embarrassed him.

Yeah, I really didn't like that. He friggin' karate-chop kicked him in the head, his foot KICKED forward right before impact, no attempt at avoiding/mitigating it. I don't believe for a second that he couldn't have lessened the impact if he had wanted to.

Revis didn't play man against the Dolphins, he played one side.

I didn't like it in principle...but I did laugh my ass off.

Brown is such a stud. He's like an elite version of Golden Tate.

Revis also had two pass deflections yesterday, it wasn't a bad day for him overall, IMO. Haden, on the other hand...Whoa.

It did look like he was attempting a hurdle. It also looked like when he realized he didn't have the air to complete said hurdle, he become 100% committed to his leaping face kick.

Peterson and Revis played almost exclusively at LCB to open the season. Results were mixed.

Meanwhile... (not week one, but you get the point)

I find it interesting that NE and ARZ both decided to just try and take away 1/3 of the field and roll coverage to the other 2/3 of the field as well. I wonder if that was just a matchup thing for those teams in Week One or if they adopt that strategy throughout the season.

I suppose that I should go ahead and give the link to the PFF article that DavidSeven got those GIFs from: https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2014/09/10/analysis-notebook-week-1-2/

Lol, Revis clearly got burned.

The old double-move. I'll be shocked if SD doesn't try this against Sherman. That seems to be the best way to attack him.
