“My client, on behalf of herself and their son, wishes to express her extreme outrage at the invasion of their privacy that has occurred through the publication of highly confidential and private data obtained regarding them by the press without their permission or consent. My client is hurt and outraged that the press would publish throughout the world pictures of their minor son and publish statements allegedly made as part of the private and confidential criminal investigative file,” the statement said.

Edit:
The Texas Rangers confirmed this week that they are investigating the illegal leak after receiving a request late Friday from Montgomery County District Attorney Brett Ligon and Houston Police Department officials. Tom Vinger, spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, said all findings of the investigation will be reported to Ligon's office.

That's really sad. The press is in such a hurry to condemn people that they don't care who they hurt.

Victims rights? What are those? Let's trample this 4 year old in the rush to get hits on our web site.

We humans have collectively changed little over the centuries. What has changed is our access to machinery and access to faster and much more powerful amplifiers and automation and such. Unfortunately, that machinery typically takes on a life of its own and in turn runs over us as human beings.
