Jets are utter crap. Smith is atrocious. He is an not wise no matter where his family lives.

Has anyone from the team actually said they tried to sign him back but couldn't? From what I've seen it would have been a tight race between him and Britt anyway and Britt comes much cheaper.

It's a lot like the Golden Tate situation. The Seahawks would have liked to have kept him, but not at anywhere near the money they would have had to pay him. Breno is making significantly more money in Jersey than he would be making here, far more than he would even including playoff money.

It's basically a 2 year, $7 million contract that's fully guaranteed. He's very unlikely to see the other $11 million in his deal.
