I don't think losing one sig bet to me is enough for you. ;)

Want to bet that Percy's got more yards after playing in five games for the Jets than he did for the 2014 Seahawks?

I'll bet you are right. I hope he succeeds there, I'm just glad he is gone.

Hmmm well with Percy and Vick and Rex this isn't going to look very pretty in a few weeks with the New York media.

My predictions,

Percy explodes on someone. ( Smith I am thinking)

Vick and Percy become best Buds and Percy wants Vick to start, it comes out in the Media.

Rex Fired before end of the season.

More yards, fewer wins

Ro is right. So is whomever said below - more yards, less wins. I was just telling the guy in my FF league w Harvin that this will probably help him.

That said, saw a funny meme that I have no idea how to post, so imagine a cat or say, a pic of Geno -

The only person who will miss Harvin more than the Seahawks.....is Geno Smith.

Jets had the Patriots if they could have converted FGs to TDs. If they can catch lightning in a bottle, this addition would help them be more dynamic. The way they were running on the Pats and Geno looking somewhat functional, this could be a good short term solution.

I guess Harvin can be no worse than Santonio Holmes was with the Jets before they gave him the boot.

From a pure football nerd standpoint, I'm excited to see what they do with Percy. None of its worked, but the Jets are willing to try new shit offensively. Maybe we'll see a true wildcat with Vick/CJ/Percy? They'll be doing some crazy an desperate shit, it'll be fun.

It is a good deal for the Jets

They have massive cap space so $7M doesn't matter. $0 cap hit if you cut his im next year and you spent a 4th rounder
If he pans out then you give up max a second rounder but he might save Idzik and Ryan their jobs

This is a really good deal for the Jets

And if he is a disaster... You secure the number 1 pick next year and all it cost you was a 4th rounder

Agree with this. Now that the surprise has worn off - this will be fun.

Some great comments on the Jets' boards. One of which was something like - this is the crazy, desperate move of a man trying not to be fired.

Let's watch.

Solution? The only thing that can happen with them winning is moving farther down in the draft order. Their season is OVER, they need to lose as many game as possible to get as high as pick as possible, it's gonna be hard to catch the Raiders or Jags though.

The worst thing about the Harvin saga is that ESPN gets another excuse to run constant Jets stories. The most irrelevant big-market team.

Sigh.

For the Jets, receiver Percy Harvin is on the way in and receiver David Nelson is on the way out.

Nelson is the player who will be released to make room on the 53-man roster for Harvin, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. The Seahawks and Jets haven’t made the Harvin trade official yet, but as soon as the deal is officially done, Nelson will be released.

Also noted by PFT, (more sources yay!)

Still, the early reaction from multiple league insiders is that the Jets made a mistake by acquiring Harvin. One league source with knowledge of and experience with both the player and his new team already has expressed pessimism, explaining that the Jets are “not a stable place.” Another source said that the Jets have “pissed away $7 million of Woody Johnson’s cash and cap space.”

“Do you know how many good players that much space can get you?” the source said. (As some Jets fans would respond, “If you don’t use it, none.”)

We’ll have more throughout the weekend regarding the reaction to and aftermath of the trade. Whatever triggered the move, it was enough to prompt the Seahawks to pay Harvin what amounted to $2.375 million for every meaningful game in which he played.

I hope Harvin has a monster rest of the season in NY so that the Seahawks get a better draft pick.
