Not a big surprise.

I have had Suh figured for between 14-16 mil a year even before the McCoy deal.

Jeezus. The payoffs are becoming ridiculous. For a defensive player?.....

Football is becoming a joke. Salary cap, then this?....Coupled with all the penalties?

Hey NFL, you are losing us.

Lol. L80 is becoming quite the grumpy old man...

Have to laugh though, I thought defense was supposed to be dead, yet we have a DT making QB money. Such a Tampa thing to do.

Can't say I love contracts like these. They require a player to continue putting up elite numbers just for him to break even when it comes to helping the team in the moneyball aspect. Very little upside, very high downside.

I liked what Idzik did when faced with this issue. He traded Revis for two nice picks, and saved a ton of money. Minny did the same thing with Harvin, though of course their hand was forced. We all know about the Galloway trade in Seattle, etc.

When Billy Beane has a huge star player what does he do? Uses up all his good cheap years then sells high at the last second. That's how you dominate with lower resources. I'm surprised more NFL teams don't follow his model.
