If a pitcher walks several batters but is able somehow find a way to get out of the innings with out a hit against him, that is still considered a no-hitter? How about he loads the bases up and walks in a run, still a no-hitter? No one has hit on him yet. If you look at a no-hitter from that angle, it's really not that great of accomplishment. Technically someone could walk a bunch of players and still not allow hit. Getting 27 outs without the walks....yeah that's a real no-hitter but that's called a "perfect" game.
