We’ve been talking about this day for, what, 30 years? Usually it was a joke, because parades are things that happen in other places. We’ve grown used to seeing those on TV, Kobe Bryant waving, or Rob Gronkowski binge drinking, or Derek Jeter smiling. That would never happen here. How could it?

Pretty cool.

Reminds me of the XLVIII parade here in Seattle. Freezing my marbles off was well worth it. Euphoria is a hell of a drug. :th2thumbs:

The Metro was free today even the paratransit services because of the Royals. Downtown was completely filled. At least 500,000 people were at the parade on the low end. More likely it was closer to 1,000,000.

Edit: The official estimate was 800,000 so I wasn't overstating things at all.

It was a good week. I won a free ticket to game one at work and then I took the family to the parade.
