I knew the day was coming but still sadden by his passing. R.I.P to the General of Arnie's Army. Condolences to Arnold Palmer's family, friends and loved ones. One of Latrobe's finest.

Not a huge golf fan, but always had a ton of respect for Mr. Palmer. Never heard anyone say a bad word about the man.

RIP Arnold. :(

He is what every golfer today should strive to be, both as a player and as a person. Rest in peace, Arnie.

One of the real good guys of professional sports RIP.

Well said.

My dad and grandpa were huge golf fans, and like everyone loved Palmer.

Palmer was solely responsible for taking golf to the next level by being the most charismatic accessible and every man of the sport.

Jack may be the best golfer of all time, but Palmer was the greatest.

Palmer was such a class act. And an excellent pilot too-he owned and flew a Cessna Citation jet for years.
