  • setting up to be the most dramatic baseball game ever, maybe more than game 6 in 2011.

Two fanbases that are dying for a title, and two pitchers that you can argue deserved the cy young in their respective leagues on the mound.

  • As a fan of baseball I hope the lead changes 20 times tonight. I may ever-so-slightly be rooting for the Tribe. Two of the best pitchers facing off in game 7? Yes please.

  • The Cubs have all the momentum.

But the Indians have Kluber and their entire bullpen rested. No doubt they can go 5-6 innings of lights out ball between Bryan Shaw, Andrew Miller and Cody Allen. As good as Kluber is, this will be the third time the Cubs will have seen him, so perhaps the Cubs can get to him a little.

Does this remind anyone of the Warriors-Cavs finals? Warriors up 3-1, only to lose the next three games, not to mention losing game 7 at home. Script looks very similar to what we have going on right now.

  • Kluber got hammered. That's what happens when you start your third game in nine days, not to mention this is now the third time the Cubs batters have seen him.

So far so good for the Cubs.

  • Rough games for Kluber and Miller. Hendricks was on point. Lester not so much. 7th inning, Cubs up 6 to 3, and I am at the edge of my seat. My lady and her family are all from Chicago, and they want this win more than anything.

Base hit by Fowler. These kids want this win, and they deserve it. Been watching this Cubs team the whole season and they are a ton of fun to follow. I hope they win it all.

  • Really dont care who wins. Really dont care about baseball at all. I just want to see Cleveland at least get the tying run up to the plate in the 9th inning, just so all of Chicago can panic.

  • That badly-missed strike call earlier in the bottom of the 5th that gave the Indians two runs felt like our game against the Saints.

  • Wow, one of the best endings to a World Series ever. A game for the ages!

Congrats to the Cubs and that fanbase.

Congrats to Cleveland for a great season as well.

Both teams played their asses off.

  • Couldn't be happier for Montgomery. Bring him back!!!

That was one hell of a series, up 3 games to 1 I thought Cleveland had it in the bag. Hats off to the Cubs.

Might I also add that Rizzo is crazy, crazy good. And I thought it was a terrible idea to have Chapman pitch more than 1 inning, but it worked out in the end.

  • That was the most excited I was for a baseball game since 2011 when the Cardinals were down to their last strike twice in game 6 and they pulled out the win. Way to go Cubbies. The Back to the Future 2 prediction was only off by one year.

Bonus for us: The AZ Cardinals now have the longest pro sports drought without a championship. :D

  • My company is based out of Illinois, not far from Chicago. They've been over the moon all day. I was rooting for the Cubs...Man, 108 year drought? Makes the Seahawks 38 years of waiting look like months by comparison.

I am not a baseball fan but I watched game 7...Now if baseball was always like that AND they only played 16 games like the NFL, then I would probably watch baseball, lol.

Hell of a game. I feel bad for Cleveland and their fans though.

  • What an incredible finish to such a memorable World Series. Many analysts and writers have already declared it the finest Game 7 in World Series history and many have also called it the greatest game of all time. No dispute here. So happy for all of Chicago and agonizingly painful for Indian fans. Cleveland lost the '97 World Series in extra innings in Game 7 as well.

Both of these teams played so well it's just a shame for Indian fans as their drought and heartbreak continue, but hats off to Joe Maddon and the brilliant job he did guiding this team to an historic championship.
