I'm more interested in NBA players overall rather then your home town/favorite teams. I want to know the guys you like who weren't on your favorite team. So if you want, give me a list of your favorite hometown guys too, but i'm more interested in your non-hometown favorites.

A few of my favorites over the years:

Allen Iverson
Kobe Bryant (used to absolutely hate him, but I like him a lot now)
Rajon Rondo
Michael Jordan (of course)
Dominique Wilkins
Chris Paul
Alonzo Mourning
Joe Dumars
Sean Elliott

Some of my favorite hometown guys:

Brandon Roy
Clyde Drexler
Cliff Robinson
Robert Pack
Jerome "Xavier McDaniels is my bitch" Kersey
Damian Lillard

What? No love for the Glove?

;)

Actually, I thought I had him on my list. But for me he's more of a "home town" pick, as I loved him when he was at Oregon State before he became a Sonic.

Reggie Miller is a tough one for me. I liked him a lot as a player, but he's so bad as an announcer it makes me forget that I ever liked him. Good call on Hakeem Olajuwon. I forget about that dude sometimes, but he was always entertaining to watch.

Seeing Brandon Roy and Penny Hardaway's names together makes me sad. They both could have been Hall of Famers.

JORDAN.

Of course I grew up a Sonics fan so it was McMillan, Kemp, & Payton.

Shaq, Anfernee, Magic and Kobe. I've been a closet Lakers fan for years.

All my favorite players are former Sonics: Xavier McDaniel, Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, Detlef Schrempf, Sam Perkins, Hersey Hawkins, Luke Ridnour, Danny Fortson, Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis, Kevin Durant.

Besides that, I am a fan of David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Dominique Wilkins, and James Harden off the top of my head.

Cant believe I forgot Big Smooth, who looked stoned every time he took the court but was money behind the arc and at the line.

If I had one player ever to start a team it would be Magic, not Mike. I think he did more to make those around him better than anyone ever.

Lots of Hakeem The Dream love, I likes! I also forgot to add Patrick Ewing to my list.

Kemp, Payton, Nate Mac, Lonnie Shelton, Jack Sikma, Fred Brown, Johnnie Johnson, David Thompson, Moses Malone, Karl Malone, Thurl Bailey, Dave Rose (nobody knows him, but he was the starting point guard on Phi Slamma Jamma, a close family friend, and is now the coach at BYU), Hank Gathers, Bo Kimble, X-Man, Dale Ellis, Detlef, John Stockton, James Donaldson, Dennis Johnson

Most hated:

Paul Westphal. Nobody else even comes close.
