Wins the World Series and goes to the enemy for more money lol -- 7 year 153 million dollar contract. Johnny Damon all over again. Seems like a lateral move but who knows, that's a ton of money. Pretty good for a 30 year old CF who gets injured almost every season. He should do well hitting with their tiny right field fence and will steal 50 bags again this year I'm sure.

Desperate move by the Yankees... But man their goes the market for Cano.

Shit move by Ellsbury too...unless the Sox had no intention of signing him

Yeah that move basically says goodbye Cano. If healthy he can be a big help but I would be surprised to see him consistently get 90 games a year. Surprised he would go to a Yankee team that clearly is on the downfall but it was probably the most money offered.

Word is Sox wanted to resign him but no where near the contract he got, so it makes sense they just let him move on. I imagine this means they'll go after Beltran and bring up some AAA guys.

Baseball salaries are so ridiculous and this signing is a prime example. Ellsbury is a good player but nowhere near the $153M that he'll be getting. Wow! unreal.

Man I wanted him.
