  • Good riddance, Oklahoma! Your time is running out..... soon the team will be busted up, reach mediocrity, free agents will come to look @ Oklahoma, hate it there, not sign, and the team will reach the status of the Houston Astros. Fans will stop going to games, Clay Bennett will lose millions. Then he will go home and cry about it to his wife, his wife will get tired of hearing it, divorce him, and he will fall into a great depression. He will sell the team for a quarter of what he paid to buy them to begin with, and several years later file for bankruptcy.

    Go Spurs!

  • Being realistic, though I am glad the Thunder are out, but it is just a matter of time before those guys are champions. I remember comparing them to the Dallas Mavericks of Mark Aquire, Rolando Blackmon, Derek Harper, Roy Tarpley, Detlef Schremp and others who never realized their potential and catching the ire of our OKC poster, but these guys are still very young.

I still believe like I said a few years ago, once they go through the fire of trying to become champs, they could go on a Heat-like run of championships. I figured the Seahawks would have a similar period to make it to a championship and win, but it came sooner (thank your significant deity for that).

Unfortunately, I think Clay Bennett and gang will get to see that trophy but maybe I will be dead by then and will not matter.

Until that time we like the undefeated Dolphin team can relish every year that they lose.

I'm honestly not that bothered, to be honest. The Seahawks SB win and Liverpool's fantastic season have put less emphasis on the Thunder for me this year.

I will say this though - it's time to look at other head coaches. Just don't like the Thunder offense at all. Too simplistic and ineffective against well-coached teams, especially in the playoffs. Oh well.

I agree with the Doc though, just a matter of time before they get a ring or two. You guys enjoy this tho :)

  • I think Durant leaves for Brooklyn or Los Angeles or something when his contract is up. The Zombies are small-market and broke. They are so broke that they had to get rid of James Harden, IIRC. Plus, I'm pretty sure Westbrook and Durant don't like one another, or that's the sense I get without having actually seen them play.

Anyway, if they don't win before Durant comes up for a new contract, they get to be the next Sacramento, which is both just and right in this world.

  • Karl feels the same way about the Thunder that Payton does, good luck with that. Money does talk but I think it would be a hard hard sell and in the end if he did take it he would be making the biggest salary in the league.

I was actually pissed off when we resigned him in the offseason. He gets a decent amount of local love, but my wife and I can't stand him. Seems like every time he touches the ball something stupid happens. Sure, he gets some points, but then you look at his line and it's something like 3/12 with four TOs.

On the other hand, I was thinking of all SORTS of better things they could've done with the cap room they had last OS, and now they're back in the finals, so clearly nobody should ever listen to me.

No where did it say "hey the even the series to 1-1", it said they were looking to even the series up 1-1

I take it you mean when Lebron drew his 2nd foul? After taking 4 steps before foul..It was a joke of a call..I just happened to see that moment when channel surfing..It's all rigged in my opinion and has been for some time..(years)Oh btw in the rules after 2 steps u cannot carry unless you play in the NBA..

    Wow....mad props to you, Sir!

Lovin' the Spurs. I was satisfied with them knocking off those Okie bastage, now on the verge of (further) bruising the inflated of egos of James and Wade? Couldn't be happier. Wade was my favorite baller not so long ago (my home boy), but these days he makes me ill. Both he and James just have too much to say about stuff they have little knowledge of and it bothers me how much influence / power they wield. Just STFU and play basketball, asshats.

Again...awesome pick. I wonder what you would have got in Vegas with that (?). Surely the odds would have been handsome. Go Spurs!

  • I mean it probably ends tonight, and as much as I'd hate to see Ginobili in a championship hat and shirt(I really hate that man if you can't tell), I really really like Kahwi Leonard and want him to succeed, and it's impossible to hate Duncan, but the Spurs have a STUD in Leonard, there's no reason at all to think they'll fall off anytime soon.

  • If Leonard doesn't get the big head, and I've seen nothing from him suggesting he will, that kid will have a phenomenal career. Man, he's got some mad hops and he's not afraid to play D, either. I am no longer a hardcore fan of roundball, so spend no time looking at the box scores, but regardless of Duncan's (etc) numbers, Leonard has to be MVP of this series and I look forward to him posterizing Lebron today.

If the series ends today, or even in 6, you have to think Riley is really going to shake things up in Miami. Bye bye Ray (one of my all time favs) and bye bye Wade, for sure. And Rashard Lewis keeps threatening to be a great player, but just like in Seattle, he still doesn't seem to have the heart. I can think of few ballers that have under-achieved quite like Rashard Lewis. He could have been Tim Duncan.
