MLS announced the biggest & longest TV rights deal in the league's history today. Beginning in 2015 and running through 2022 ESPN, Fox Sports, and Univision will combine to air a minimum of 102 games per year, plus the playoffs, to national audiences on a weekly basis. ESPN will also handle the digital, out-of-market broadcasting through ESPN 3 and the WatchESPN app. The deal also includes the rights to the US Mens & Womens National teams. Personally I think this is huge for MLS, in terms of exposure and stability.

Espn and co are paying more to US soccer than NBC is paying the premier league.
