  • RIP Stephen Hawking. What an incredible, towering intellect. When I hear his voice, I think of the Pink Floyd song "Keep Talking" which features sound bites of him talking.

    Unrelatedly, when I first decided to stop smoking, and was looking for inspirations and scares on the Net, it was people who had to have their vocal cords removed because of throat cancer surgery, and had a synthetic voicebox, who particularly gained my full notice.
