  • And thank you Saints Fans !!!!

My family and I had a great time visiting your city.
No doubt in my mind, y'all have the 2nd best NFL destination:{) after Seattle. Sure, I'm biased but this is my house, what would you expect?

Seriously, the city is warm and inviting, the people are diverse.
Parties are everywhere but if you aren't in that mood, culture abounds.

I could write a book (if I knew how to type/spell) I won't do that but I will again say THANK YOU.

I'll leave a few pictures as evidence that we had a great time, I'll add, not one hateful or disrespectful word was heard by myself or my family, we spent 4 days.

My wife and I spent 10 days in NOLA following Katrina, we work EMS and were assigned to search and rescue. The highlight of my trip was, going back to the area that we were assigned to in 2005. We actually got to re-unite with a lady that we helped to rescue/evacuate. What an awesome experience.

One more time, I say THANK YOU NOLA.

  • I've got to admit, meeting these people, so many years after the fact, was very emotional.

We were able to exchange contact info.
I was able to provide them with some pictures that they had no way of getting.

    They were warm and grateful.

Told us, any time y'all come back, "we got you".

    I couldn't keep from crying.
Truly was one of the great moments in my 25 year career.

  • I know I'm a bit late in replying but wow, thanks for sharing your experience on your trip, sir! I love seeing and hearing visiting fans' experiences in New Orleans. Glad you and your family had a great time. I hope my advice and suggestions were able to benefit you or anyone else reading the ones I posted in the thread itself.

I do regret not being able to stop by and meet a few of you gents after the game though. But I actually could see you and that big cowboy hat from across the field!

Awesome. I was upper deck middle up on the 20. Great seats to see everything in the stadium, including that dude that looks like Samuel L Jackson...or the back of his head most of the game. And he was 2 seats down. Ugh. Great time had by me too.

  • That is a fun city to visit. The food is great. The architecture is unique in some areas. The drinks are excellent. But you have to realize there are some very high crime areas too and very close to the tourist spots. So you have to be aware too and a little careful in certain spots. My brother and I were there once for a game and our rental car got robbed. It got broken into. You have to be careful where you park and walk and go. It's not a completely safe city. No city is. But I'm just saying New Orleans has it's sketchy parts. It's beautiful with all the water around and the great food is amazing. The festive atmosphere is kind of fun too.

    Dude?

    I appreciate your enthusiasm but.....

You are bumping threads that are very old.

It’s not really a problem but you may want to look at the dates of the last post in a thread.

Your opinion is welcome but may, or may not be relevant any longer.

Please, enjoy our forum as you seem to be, just don’t expect much of a response when you bump a thread that hasn’t been posted in for a year or two.

    Cheers
