Best burger in Seattle....

  • Maybe its because I live on the east side of the state and we don't have many good burger places but I'm in love with this place. If you haven't tried it out you should. Best burger I've had in a while. Twisted recommended uneedaburger which is next on my to do list. Any other places you guys recommend? ImageImageImageImage

  • Yep, 8oz is the best burger I've found in the northwest.

Beardslee Public House in Bothell is pretty good, but not at the level of 8oz.

  • When I saw this thread the first thing that came to me was 8 oz. Happy to see other people know about this place. You know a great burger OP. Uneeda Burger is worth checking out but not on the level of 8 oz. Now I really want to go there.

  • I love Miners but it doesn't hold a candle to 8 oz. Lots of good memories of stopping there for high school sports on our team buses.

  • Never understood the love for Minor's when I lived in Yakima. Go to 2nd Street and get the squeeler burger. That was 8 years or so ago though.

They used to make one of the best ruebens too.

  • For me Minor's is more of a childhood memory thing. I'll have to try the squeeler burger for sure, since its just an hour away from the Tri-Cities.

  • What's the best one in Tri-Cities? Would that be the brick and mortar joint?

  • Sounds weird but a place called frost me sweet in Richland has a pretty good burger. They're known for their deserts but they have a really good menu overall.

Learn to go to Yelp and browse through the photos, then. :)

  • 8oz is good, but a little too aioli/truffle/nonsense-ish for me. Give me a Rain City all day.

Are you saying aioli and truffle are nonsense, or the amount 8oz uses is nonsense?

  • This isn't the same place as 8oz Burger Bar is it? I ate at one of those at the LAX airport of all places and had maybe the best sandwich of my life. It was a short rib grilled cheese.

I'm saying neither belongs within 100 feet of a burger. If you're going to use a little of a specific aioli on a burger or whatever, I guess it's fine, but it shouldn't be a powerful flavor in the burger. Aioli can go with baguettes, seafood or veggies, but a burger? I think it makes the burger taste funny, and like it is a play on a burger, rather than being a burger. Truffle oil even funnier.

  • Neither belongs within 100 feet of a burger? Ok, nothing personal, but I definitely don't put much stock in your burger opinions, then. :)

8oz cooking the burger EXACTLY how you ask for it (they nail medium rare every time, it's very impressive) is a huge part of why I think they're so great. If you think they overdo some of the toppings a bit, I can get that, but that kind of unilateral statement....yeah...nope. Lol.

  • It's illegal to cook a burger medium rare now because of possible E.coli, so wanting your flesh to melt off is a great place to eat.

Uh, provide a source for this for WA state? You can still order steak tartare at all kinds of fine restaurants, so I have trouble believing this...

  • Not the best burger out there, but garlic aioli on the burger at The Grocery in dowtown Couve belongs there and it goes perfect with the bacon jam that is also on said burger.

Bacon jam needs to be more of a thing, btw.
