  • Yes, looks good. I thought the original version was very good, too, and they also did a great job with The Stand, I think. But I found Under the Dome quite awful, apart from the actress who played Julia (Yum) Shumway. Shame, as it is possibly my 3rd favourite King book. I've only watched 3-4 episodes, though - maybe it gets better?

  • The book is one of only a few true horror novels by Stephen King. This movie will hopefully be scary as hell. For anyone who has read the book, I suggest you check out the website they have setup for The Losers' Club - it's very well done. Watch the slides.

I'm very pumped about this film.

  • I am looking forward to the movie, however, I don't know how they will stuff all of the material into one movie, so I am apprehensive.

It's not one film, it's two; this is the half where they're all kids. The second one is coming out sometime later, where they're all adults. The first film clocks in at two hours and 14 minutes, so not a bad length. The trailers look freaking awesome, I am very psyched for this.

  • I can't wait for this. I just wish that my favorite Stephen King book, Salem's Lot, would make it to the big screen. The original 1979 made for tv version is one of my favorite horror movies but I'll be the first to admit it looks dated as hell. The 2004 remake with Rob Lowe (another made for tv version) was pure shit. Didn't care much for the original IT movie with John Ritter and all the other TV actors, but this new version looks promising!

  • I'd LOVE for Salen's Lot to be made into a high-budget, high-quality film. It's the best vampire book out there, IMO. (That I've read; vampire novels are a dime a dozen, so there are tons I haven't read.) I'm not saying that because I'm a Stephen King fan, I'm saying it because it was either the second or third book I read by King back in junior high and it really started cementing me as a fan of his overall at the time.

  • A friend who works at a movie theater just messaged me saying this; my hopes are even higher, now:

"So I'm not the biggest fan of clowns, but somehow, they talked me into watching It last night. Horrifying. I'm lucky I slept. Straight nightmare fuel. Very well done movie as a film, I had never seen the original, but others in the group had and they all loved it."

  • It has been back to back #1 with opening weekend at $117M and the second weekend with $60M. As usually September is a slow month at the box office.
