Strobe lights are one thing, but I don't recall seeing any FAA-regulated green and red navigation lighting in those videos. Not being argumentative, just thinking out loud.
In addition, if the man who took the video is to be believed, he said he was a former pilot for the Air Force whom if that is true, would easily recognize commercial and military light patterns on aircraft. Traditional "UFO" sightings (see: true Unidentified Flying Objects) report nontraditional light patterns and colors. Oddly timed strobing (super slow or super fast or both), multi-colored lights (rotating in a clockwise or counter clockwise pattern, or flashing randomly, changing size and intensity, etc)...
For me it would be the irregularity of light sizes and colors and arrangements that would get my attention.
