Your Christmas day weather

  • I'd be interested in everyone's Christmas day weather forecast, including if you will have snow on the ground, or if it is forecast to actually snow on the day.

In Adelaide, South Australia, maximum temp is forecast to be 29C (~85F) with zero chance of rain. Much better than last year - it was 43C/110F...

Anyway, Happy Christmas to everyone on the forum! And GO SEAHAWKS!!!

  • We're apparently getting 23C (74F) and cloud with a decent chance of light rain here in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. So probably a bbq at home rather than at the beach, which is pretty annoying given that we've just had a solid month of 28-32C (83-90F) without a drop of rain!

  • In the 20's with the wind chill here in Maple Valley, WA. Chance of up to 1" of snow tonight and Christmas morning. Would be sweet to wake up to a White Christmas!

  • Pretty much the same as Maple Valley here in Orting, WA. Not surprising, as it isn't that far away... It sure is hard to convince the new puppy to poop outside in this weather! He says "Screw that noise, dad! I don't see you out here pooping..." And he's right.

  • It started snowing around 4pm. 2 inches accumulated. I have to spend the night on my dad's couch, and my nieces and nephews will no doubt be waking me no later than 7am. I'm not a morning person nor a kid person. Yay for me.

Wow... I'm surprised - BC, I think of maritime climate, not so severe... but are you up in a high altitude, or pulling my leg? :)

Wish I was there, I think... but shovelling snow has no appeal, so maybe I should be careful what I wish for.

Thanks, Todd - your house looks awesome, and of course I love your flag. I've just now got embryonic plans of getting a flagpole of my own - IIRC my mum had one when I was a kid, which back then always had an Australian flag flying.

I'd never heard of the [future] Seahawks back then, in the late 1960s... but this is now!

Your commute, 75 miles (about 125km) seems to me to be horrible! Is this one-way, or round-trip?

Since you get up at 03:45 I fear it is 75 miles each way (ie 150 miles round-trip) and I sincerely do NOT understand how you can keep up with such a punishing schedule. Or is your trip 75 miles in total?

Heck, that is more than enough!

  • Our Christmas weather was around 85 degrees with scattered rain showers left over from the bands of the latest typhoon to come sailing by us on the equator. Enjoy your snow elsewhere, boys and girls!
